Appleton - Emerson is pleased to announce the launch of the globally rated Unicode® 2 Series control stations.  

The Unicode 2 control stations are tri-rated for NEC/CEC, ATEX and IEC compliance so they can be deployed in any hazardous location in North America or around the world. Exceptionally durable, they are resistant to impact, weather, washdowns and corrosion. Each control station features a stainless steel enclosure rated IP66/NEMA 4X making them ideal for chemical and petrochemical processing, wastewater treatment centers, food and beverage plants or any environment exposed to extreme corrosion or severe weather.

Unicode 2 control stations are optimized for easy installation, lower labor costs and reduced maintenance time. Contacts are mounted and wired on the back box, rather than the cover, for better access during installation and maintenance, plus the devices are spaced for ample wiring room. "Ex de" type contacts ensure protection at the component level, eliminating the need to install external seals in hazardous locations, saving time and money. Another time-saver is the captive cover screws that can't be dropped or lost.

In stock and ready-to-ship, our Unicode 2 control stations can be ordered in nine of our most popular pre-configured designs. In addition, customers can "build their own" Unicode by choosing from four pre-drilled enclosures in three sizes, along with a choice of 20 pushbuttons, switches, LED pilot lights, and contact blocks to fully customize each control station to meet application requirements
